- (continued from previous page)It is unlucky to cut trees in a fort.
There is a story told about a servant boy and his master. Once upon a time a Cervantes boy in Clonmoney.
One day the master told the boy to go and cut some trees if a fort near by. The boy said he would not go, so the master asked him would he go if he went with him.
The boy said he would, so they went together to the fort.
When they went the master put his axe in the gap and said if the axe was knocked within a half-hour they would not cut the trees.
Within five minutes a horse came out of a field and knocked the axe. So the horse but an end to their cutting.
