- Cratloe like every other parish has several wild birds.
Some fo these birds are namely, Wild duck, pigeon, woodcock, grouse, wild geese, waterhen, crow, plover, snipe, curlew, swans and the black-bird and trush.
The wild-geese are the cutest birds of all because while they are feeding they have other geese watching for them, in case anyone might try to steel on them, they like the cold weather best.
They feed on carcasses by the banks of a river.
The wild-duck lives on the rivers and makes her nest in the reeds and lives on suction.
The snipe is a small bird, she is about the size of a thrush and lives in marshy land by the rivers and lakes, she also lives on suction.
The plover is a bird of a grayish color and lives on the roots fo grass, there are two kinds of plover, such as, the grey and the green. They are(continues on next page)- Collector
