previous as I took care to find out. Also some time later (though we took care no one heard of our experience for many a day) I met a man who started to tell me practically the same experience he had in the same place years before. I was also informed that a member of the family who owned the castle shot himself in the orchard.
This story is true and I may mention that though my friend heard the footsteps and was as near to them as I was he never saw anything.
