    Just opposite Mr Fitzgerald's house of Turlo Co. Mayo there is a lake called Poll an Dailtín. Many years ago one of the Fitzgerald's had a pot of gold, he went to the lake one day with it and let it down into the water by a chain. He then stuck an iron in the ground and tied the chain to it by a rope so that he would be able to find it when he would want it. Alas when the pot of gold got to the bottom of the lake the iron gave way, and the man
