- There was a lime-kiln in Cregg Parish of Balla Co Mayo. When people want lime this is what they do. They quarry lime-stones, they then break them into pieces about as big as an egg.
The lime-kiln is a round hole. It is built with stones in a bank. There is a small door in the side of it to let out the lime. The people first put timber on the botttom of the lime-kiln. Then turf and then(continues on next page)- Collector
