    as she would be able to rear the children. So they got married. She had a pig and Fr. Leonard married them for the pig. A few days after his sister was buired Jack came home, and it was Christmas Eve when he landed. He asked to be let in, but his wife would not let him in. Jack got vexed and said to himself. "Its a caution when a man will not be let into his own house Christmas Night and all." So he went into the barn and waited there all night. At last two men came to bring the pig whom Fr. Leonard had sent, and when Jack saw them taking his pig he got a stick and slashed them. So back they went to Fr. Leonard and told him the story. The priest said he could not follow them as he was dead, so he agreed
