Come sit down beside me for a while...

    I
Come sit down beside me for a while till I spend my last hours on
    Eirins green isle.
Come fill up your glasses and
    drink hand to hand
On to-morrow I will be parting from my home on Lough Brann.
    II
Soon on the forth comming morning
    I will bidding adieu.
    To my friends and relatives
    so loyal and true.
To the fertile valleys where so
    often I ran.
To inhale the breezes on the
    shores of Lough Brann.
    III
My father and mother its now
    I hear their cries.
    Whilst of true sorrow did
    moisten their eyes
But Ill assist please God if I can
But Ill never ignore what I am
On the shores of Lough Brann.
    IV
Thier is a number besides me
