- Long ago there was no white cows in Ireland. One day a farmer went out after his cattle and he saw a white fairy cow in the field. He told his neighbour and they came to see her. The man was giving milk to the country and he was getting very rich. Every year she had a white calf. One day he said he would kill her and she arose in the air and the calves follow her and she was never seen again.
