If your hand was swollen it is good to hold it under a water tap and turn it on. The white of an egg is good for a burn. Sulphate of copper is good for taking away warts:- Chicken weed is very good to take down swelling. The blackbirds egg is very good for a boil. To go three times under a blackberry briar hat the two ends are growing in the ground it is a cure for the whooping cough. Fat bacon is very good for corns.
