  1. The people long ago used to male a cake from oatmeal which they called "Tom Steel" They used to grind the grain. They do not grind grain now The old people used a hand mill for the purpose. They are not used now The also made "potato Cakes" and "Boxty".
    Potato cakes and Boxty are made yet but not as much as they did long ago
