    This was story was related to me by Mr. John Carroll. Candles were made by a woman who lived in Bellvue. There were made from the fat of a sheep which was called tallow.
    The fat of no other animal would do to make candles. This woman had a mould with a wick in it. This was kept in place by a piece of stick at the bottom. Some of the wick
