four men in the boat. James O'Meara was one of the men who was in the boat. One of the cattle got very uneasy and it hit James O'Meara. The man fell into the Shannon immediately. The people (made) vain efforts to save him but they were too late. The people could not find the body so they went for the Priest. The Priest blessed a sheaf of corn. He put the sheaf into the water and it stood up where the man was drowned.
