    I am going to give an account of how tobacco is grown at home. Mrs Quirke, Kilbarron, Borrisokane told me that there is a man by the name of Mr Daniel Brerton Oldcourt. He sows about two acres of tobacco every year.
    First of all he ploughs the ground and puts out manure for it. Of course he has to buy the seed and that costs him a good penny.
