- There are two forges in this district. The names of the smiths who are working in them are John Casey and Pat Cantillion. The forges are thatched and both are built on the side of the road. They work in the open air, where they have a big fire, when they are ironing wheels. They work inside when shoeing horses, mending ploughs, harrows, and all things required of iron for farm work.
