- (continued from previous page)the party fell into the water. They were screaming for help. The Coast Guards and a few local men made for the scene with a boat. When they arrived two were saved. They discovered three of the bodies that same evening and the others were not found till about three weeks later. When they had taken them to shore, they were placed in the "boat house" attached to the Coast Guards' Station, and later they were taken to their homes and waked. They were buried on the same day in the Churchyard at Ballyheigue. It was very sad to see their coffins(continues on next page)
