    The chimneys were made of rod and voib buvoe long ago because they didn't know how to make them from any other thing.
    The old people in this district don't remember to see any houses that hadn't any chimneys.
    The windows of the old houses were made of very thin boards and they used to leave a space between each board to let in the light and sometimes they used to have a very small window with just one pane of glass in it.
    Long ago the floors were only plain eartheran
