    farm are, the cow, horse, bull, pig ass and calf. Our cows have no names. Our cowhouse is called the stall. The cows are tied round the neck with a chain. The local names for the various tyings, are ropes, chains, or by bales (sticks). Long ago in some stalls there was a horse shoe hung off the rafters so as to bring luck on the cattle.
