The time of the famine the people died with the hunger. The fish died in the river and the potatoes blackened. The people used to go down to Affick picking the roots of turnips for food. They used to pick nettles and watercress and boil it for food. There did a woman die in this townland and the rats ate her. They used to sell the milk in Tulla in(continues on next page)- Collector
