    The patron saint of this parish is Saint Cronan. There is a church in Tarmon and a well called after him. There is a cure in the well for sore eyes. The people go to the well and wash their eyes at it. The walls of the church are still to be seen there to the present day. The people go to the well and do rounds around it. The Saint is dead and was buried outside the church. It is said that he slept on a bench
