  1. There is a cahir in Meggah called "Cahirmakerla". It is said that during the war some of the men who were "on the run" took refuge there.
    There is another cahir in Meggah called "Cahir Mór". It is said that it was the Danes who built this cahir, and it is said that they live there to the present day and their lights are seen there sometimes. It is said that the cahir was much higher but it was knocked during the war.
