  1. A Collection of Prayers - Night Prayer.
    1. I lay my body down to sleep,
I pray to God my Soul to take,
And if I die before I wake,
I pray to God my soul to take.
    2. Beside my little bed at night,
Close there sits an angel bright,
Softly in my ear he sings,
And around me folds his tiny wings,
O angel dear I have no fear for
I know so well that thou art here.
    3. There are four corners on my bed,
There are four angels ever spread
Saint Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
God bless this bed that lie on,
As I lie on my right side,
I pray to God to be my guide,
If I fall asleep and never awake,
I pray to God my soul to take.
    Morning Prayer. -
    4. O turn to Jesus, Mother, turn, and call Him by his tenderest name. Pray for the Holy Souls that burn this day amid the cleansing flames.
