    Before me I made flee
    I fought my way by land and sea
    To no mortal did I yield
    The powers of Europe when combined
    I beat them in the field.
    I fought them three days two to one
    like a hero stout and true
    till Marshall Ney did me betray
    On the field of Waterloo.
    So gentles all I must conclude
    You know it all right well
    For to relate all my exploits
    'twould take one year to tell
    And now my friends I must conclude
    though I've got more to say
