- It is said in this part of the county that if a father and mother have seven sons, without any daughters in between, that the seventh should become a doctor.
It is also said that a seventh son has great curing powers.
When the seventh son is born a worm is put in his hand. This is supposed to give him the curing charm. If a seventh son was born in this locality people would say "Oh he should be a doctor".
There is also great charms or cures recorded of the work of a fourteenth son, which of course is very rare.
They are supposed to have remarkable brains, and able to cure anything, and are also great for bringing out new inventions. If a seventh son got married and had a seventh(continues on next page)
