He said that he went nightly to a neighbours house named Finn which he termed a rambling house & said "There was never a good story told but it was told at Finns. " The Finn girls were the best story tellers in the country and they had a new one every night "They should have had a book but they never said they had afraid, I suppose, that somebody would want the loan of it." That was 60 yrs. ago & he hasn't told a story for 40 yrs. now.
The following is all he could remember in the line of names or bits of the story.
(1) The Black thief of Sloan
(2) Hero digs pit at giants door & giant fell in & he killed him
(3) Fellow steals Eagles Eggs.
