- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)to priest from Bree to put him away. The priest came and read over the place, and he banished him in a draw well for seven years.
When the seven years were out Whitty appeared again worse then ever. The people became terrified of him, and no one would venture out after it got dark.
They sent for the priest again to Bree, but this time he said he wouldn't come. He said he'd have no more to do with him. The people then sent to Ferno for a priest; and he came. he read for a long time until he brought Whitty to the place. ten he banished him to the Red Sea until the Day of Judgement. The priest's name was father Moules. He left the house immediately, and about a mile away from the house he was found and he in a dying condition and his horse gone. Before he died he said: "I left too soon". Those were the only words he spoke. He died on the spot; and there was never a trace or tidings [?] of his horse from that day to this.
