  1. In Barmoney, near Galbally, there are two big stones standing up in a field near the road. There is a giant supposed to be buried under 'em. Long ago the people used to say that if you dug down six feet, and shook the Holy Water that the giant would get up. Wan Sunday a crowd came along there and they dug the hole alright, but when it came to shaking the Holy Water they got afraid so they left it so.
The giant jumped from Fort Mountain; and he brought the two large stones in his hands, and he said wherever he'd 'light that he'd be buried.

  2. There was an ould chapel near the giant's grave and a blessed well also. St Cuan is the patron of it; and in olden times patterns used be held there. But there is no wan now living that remembers anything of 'em.
The bell of the old church is supposed to be buried near the door. But no wan ever went to dig for it.
There were a couple of families of Quakers living there long ago. But they're all dead and gone.
