Nancy Brackett was up minding her child wan night. This is only about three months ago. This night she got up about 1 o'clock. she thought 'twas morning twas so bright. She heard a great congregation passing outside, and she thought 'twas the people coming from Mass. But when she looked at the clock she saw 'twas only 1 o'clock.
Whatever look she gave out the window anyway she saw a tall man standing atthe window with a raincoat.
She ran and caught the cradle. "Oh Jenny,": says she, "I suppose they're coming for you."
This was on a Friday; and three days after the child died.
