- A determined effort seems to have been made in 1811 to revive the trade of the town of New Ross.

Here is a copy of a copper stamp lent to me by Brewers, the leading nailers of that period. On it is perpetuated the year of revival 1811.
Curiously enough it was in that year that Graves and Co the great timber and felt manufacturers opened their now extensive premises in New Ross - 3.3.1811
