    'Twas under that tree all the gold - solid gold, not coin - was found by a workman named Brassil. There was Hamiltons living in Sergeant Curran's house that time. They was very big profile in themselves; but Brassil made up with them some way, and I suppose he got a share of money from them, and he gave them the gold.
    I think oul' Hamilton was the first lightkeeper ever to come to Tarbert - so that'll tell you how long ago it was!
    They say there's gold buried too at Srathnavoon; but nobody ever found it.
