    for luck some people say that if they didn't get the lucks penny the beast would not be lucky for them. Some people say that it is not right to give away the luck you would get with a beast or if you did you would give away the luck of the beast. When the people would go to the next fair the would spend the luck on the beast they would buy. Their is a certain day for pigs and a certain day for horses. When the people are bargains the clap their hands and talk a lot. The reason why the fairs are held so early is the jobbers has to rail the cattle that morning. Some of the cattle are sent over to England that day. When a man sells a horse he does not give the halter to the man that buys her, but he gives a bit of a rope around her neck.
