- There was once a man who had three lovely dogs. The man used to go out hunting every day with his dogs, who were very good for catching rabbits and hares and animals like that.
The dogs loved their master, and when he died the dogs followed him to the grave.
When the (the) people who were at the man's funeral saw the dogs they all ran away, but the dogs took up the coffin and brought it to the grave, and buried him.
When the dogs went to their master's home, they lied down on the hearth very weary looking.
One of the servants struck the dogs with a rod and they turned into three lovely (dog) ladies.
