- The old Irish people long ago had three meals. They were called a "Breakfast Dinner, and Lunch. The people sometimes did a lot of work before (breafast) breakfast.
Their food was either potatoes or stirrabout. They drank sheep's milk, goats milk, and some cows milk.
The people had not any table. The woman left a skin of potatoes on a pot. Then all the family gathered round it. They had not any (stell) steel knives as they have now. The knives were made from timber.
