  1. On Saint Stephen's Day boys and sometimes men gather together and go in a procession from house to house with a bush of holly in their hands. The holly is usually decorated with all kinds of ribbon. The party sing the wren-song when they enter each house. The words of the wren-song are:-
"The wren, the wren, the king of all birds,
Saint Stephen's Day he was caught in the furze,
Although he is little his family is great,
Arise landlady and give him a treat,
Up with the kettle and down with the pan,
Give us the money to bury the wren."
Money is given to them by the people of the house. At the end of the day the money is divided among the party.
On Saint Patrick's Day shamrock is worn by all the Irish people.
On Easter Sunday a great number of eggs are eaten.
On little Christmas night a little feast is held in every house and big candles are lighted.
On Saint Martin's Day a hen or else a sheep is killed or the blood of some animal is spilled in honour of Saint Martin.
