- There lived a man in the catsle of Lacken named Magee. He had a daughter and she was a beauty. There came three brothers of the names of Bourkes they came in a fishing smac[?] to Rathfran Bay. When Magee saw them he invited them into his own house and one of the Bourkes fell in love with Magees daughter. He asked her for marriage and he was refused. The Bourkes went into their boat and went home and in a week after they came again to Rathfran Bay.
