- In the bog to the west of Síogan hills there is a place called Cloc an Eolais. A long time ago there was a stone there. This stone was round and about a foot and a half high. Two arms of stone extended from it one pointing to the East and the other to the West. For this reason it was called Cloc an Eolais. A man cut away the bog round the stone and took the stone away also. A short time afterwards the man got sick and died. People believe that a curse fell on him owing to his interference with the stone and that it was the fairies that cursed him.
