- Long ago the people used wooden ploughs and harrows. The greater part of the plough was made of timber except the rack. It is about sixty years since those ploughs were used. There was one in existence up to some years ago which belonged to Mr. P. Lynott, Rath lane, Killala. Mr. P. Moran Burton, Killala but it got broken last year.There were no chains used at all.
