Monday, Wedensday, and Friday are supposed to be unlucky days for getting married. It is supposed that if you cried or went visiting on New Years day that you would be doing the same thing very day in the year. It is supposed that the first person who brings water from a well from which most of the people of the village were bringing water would have a lot of butter for the following year when he churned. The people of the village would get nothing but froth. The people say it is unlucky to lend money on that day.
