- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)something blue, and upon to the present day the bridesmaid will take care that the bride is wearing something that she has worn before, generally an old brooch , or an old bracelet , that has been years in the family.
If she has no blue garment, the brides maid will have a little knot of pale blue ribbon to fasten in the brides hair , or even inside in the pocket of her coat or purse.
On the morning of the wedding, the feast is held first at the brides house . Her bridesmaid , and friends assemble early ,and at about ten o clock the bridegroom and his friends come to the house. Tea and ham are served at breakfast , and then the bride's cake is cut and distributed.
At about twelve o clock they set out for the Church . The bridegroom and his friends go first , then the brides friends and last of all the bride and her bridesmaid.
After the marriage , all at the Church go back to the bridegroom's house where a dinner will be ready.
