- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)There is a big field in Mr. Forde's farm, it is called "Cill Bhán". The part called "Cill Bhán" is in the middle of the field.
There are many trees growing on it and it is covered with very big stones. These stones are supposed to mark the resting places of people there buried in older times. In later times only unbaptised children are buried there.
Other fields near the village are called names which suit the shape of the fields.
A field which is twice as long as it is wide is called the "Long Field". Another is called the"Big Field" and another which has three corners is called the "Three Cornered Field". There is a field in Ballyduff called "Redmond's Field" because a family of that name has a house in this field.
