    About twenty years ago there lived in Tourin, in the parish of Cappoquin, Co. Waterford a man named Michael Geary.

    Tourin, in the parish of Cappoquin, Co. Waterford a man named Michael Geary. The people called him the "Iasgaire", because he was fishing when he was very young. He had a donkey and car and he never went to town in the day, but in the night. he kept about twenty hens and at night they slept in the kitchen. he brought the meal home for them at night and he always had them laying.
    He always had a couple of coats on him, even in the hottest day in the Summer. When the people asked him what did he want all the clothes on him for, in such warm weather, he told them what would keep out the cold would keep out the heat also.
    One day he was out in the yard in the rain and a neighbour who was passing asked him why he was out in the rain instead of being inside. He said the house was so bad inside, that it was out from it he came. When he died he had a great amount of money left and a neighbour up near him buried him and he had
