- About ninety years ago a man named O'Brien lived in a house on top of Cnoc na Faille. This man was a robber and on one occasion entered a house near Clonmel when the occupants were away at the seaside. Having rifled the house, he took all the silver and gold plate and any other valuables he could find and set out for home.
He happened to have a dog with him and while he was robbing the house he threw a bone to him. The dog did not return home with him but remained eating the bone.
When the alarm was raised and the police arrived they discovered the strange dog. Thinking that he would give them a clue to the robber's whereabouts they watched him and when he set out for home they followed him. At length he led them to the robber's home on top of Cnoc na Faille.
There was nobody inside so they waited and soon the robber came in after having buried the stolen(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
