- Candle making
Not very long ago candles were made in this district. They were made from the fat of goats. The goats were killed and the fat was taken out of them. The fat was boiled ina pot. Four threads were dipped in the tallow until it formed into a wick. Then the tallow was shaped into a candle. These wer called “tallow candles”. - Transcription guide »You are not logged in, but you are welcome to contribute a transcription anonymously.
