    giant was afraid he would be defeated.
    His wife told him not to be a bit afraid, so on the morning that the giant was to land, the woman made two big oaten cakes and placed a griddle in the middle of one of them.
    She told her man to get into the cradle, and to pretend he was a baby
    The Scotch giant came, and asked the woman was her husband in, she said "No" he was out in the field working, but was expecting him, and would be soon in.
    "Maybe you will have something to eat while you are waiting," said the woman
    "I will certainly have", said the giant, so she gave him the cake with the griddle in it, and a noggin of milk.
    She went over to the cradle, and said,
    "Maybe you will have a wee bit Sonny", he sat up in the cradle and began to eat. That's a fine baby said the giant, "What age is he,"
    "Just two". His father is an awful big man.
    While they were talking the 'baby' had his cake eaten.
    The Scotch giant broke one of his teeth
