- Along with the common birds known everywhere we have many birds in our district which are not so commonly known. The names we call these birds are, Willie Wagtail, goldies, goldcrest, yellow yandern, stonechat and the linnet. The birds that mig-rate are called, Swallows, cuckoos, wild geese, and the corncrake. The swallows and the wrens build their nests in out houses and hay sheds, and the rest of the birds build their nests in trees and in old ditches.
