Then when the water was gone the salt was lying in the bottom of the pot.
About three months after my mother was married she went up to the mountain to visit her uncle Hugh Gallagher. She got a great surprise when at her dinner her Aunt Mary gave her some of the home made salt. And Mary told her that it was her father in law John Connolly who made the salt and that he sent a box full of it up to the mountain to her father.
