- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)wishes. After she gave the wishes she walked out. The woman told her husband that a fairy girl had been in. They sat over the fire considering what they would wish for. As it was coming near time to go to bed the woman had no bread made for the morning. She said "O I wish I had a cake of oat bread". When down the chimney came a cake of oat bread into her lap. "A mushe you old harper I wish nor it would stick to your nose” the man wished for. Up jumped the cake of bread from her lap and stuck to her nose. The woman tried to take off the cake of bread from her nose but it was no use. The man tried to pull it off too but he could make no hand of it either. After a long time he wished for the cake of bread to come off her nose. With that down fell the cake of bread off her into her lap. So that was how the three wishes went.
