- The well made by St. Naille in his own land. The water was taken to mix lime and the well went dry.
A woman called Sally Harkin prayed in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and used Holy water and water came to the well.
The usual station was made to it and is made yet. Stones are thrown up and prayers recited.
The Rev. Carr, the minister in Inver took stones for piping and the well went dry.
On the day Ardaghey chapel was consecrated, the water flowed from the well in a flood and never went dry since.
A strange woman appeared at the well and put up a cross (wooden), and left beads. The woman disappeared. Nothing was ever heard of her since.
It was said, however, that a carpenter called Diver of Frosses made the cross.
Fr. Mc Caul Adm. in Inver, afterwards appointed Canon in Donegal, had the well enclosed in 1933.
If prayers for cures were successful, something like a worm came to the surface of the water. If not successful no sign.
