- A battle was fought between the Catholics and Protestants about the time of the seige [siege] of Derry.
It appears that the Protestants were marching up to Derry, and they met the Catholics and a battle was fought.
The battle field was situated between Neil Furey's farm and Willie Melley's of Brenter.
It is beside the old graveyard at Joe Rose's house.
