In the townland of Kilcorney, in the parish of Jordanstown, near Enfield, Co. Meath, there stands the remains of a giant ash tree called Dan's tree. The history of this tree takes us back to the Cromwellian invasion of this country. The local priest was celebrating Mass in the early hours of the morning in the little church at Rathcore, now a Protestant place of worship when a message came to the church that Cromwell's soldiers were rapidly advancing to surround the church with the intention of(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
