If you let a dog lick ringworm it will disappear.
For mumps it is supposed to cure this by walking under a horse or donkey. Sometimes the patient is led to running water with a donkey's halter on you.
It is only some people who have power to cure in this way. Another cure for the mumps is to breathe a frog's breath.
When people have measles, they get nettle tea to drink to put out the spots. This is made by boiling the nettles.
